Location: Windhoek, Namibia
Client: MINISTRY OF LABOUR, INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS AND EMPLOYMENT CREATION
The Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation was desirous of a Dispute Resolution House to deal with its ever-increasing labour disputes with the vision to promote and maintain harmonious labour relations between trade unions, employers and employees through
alternative dispute resolution.
Khomasdal, a residential suburb created for previously disadvantaged people is designed based on apartheid planning and urban design principles with no clearly defined CBD, lacking landmark
buildings and urban character.
Situated on a hill with a North South orientation the site offers the opportunity for the building to be experienced as an urban landmark within a rather destitute urban landscape.
The building’s North/South orientation created the opportunity to have large fenestrations facing the South with a double volume entrance.
We’ll respond and set up a meeting to get your project started,
